ATTORNEY PROFILE

Marsha K. Francis was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica and later migrated to Atlanta, Georgia.  Her relentless quest to realize her ambitions led her to pursue a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University.  Attorney Francis then pursued her law degree in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she graduated from Nova's Shepard Broad College of Law with a Juris Doctor.  Intern and externships with Judge Andrea Gunderson of the 17th Judicial Circuit in Fort Lauderdale, FL and The City of Atlanta Solicitor General's Office in Atlanta, GA further augmented her skillsets.

Attorney Francis spent several years working in law enforcement with the Atlanta Police Department and in the legal field with The Fulton County Solicitor General's Office.  She currently serves the Chamblee Municipal Court as their Senior Public Defender and serves as Public Defender for the Gwinnett County Courts.  Working as a Public Defender has allowed Attorney Francis to provide representation for indigent defendants who are unable to afford an attorney.  Her combined experience as a law enforcement officer and working both sides of the legal field (as a Solicitor and Public Defender) in addition to her status as an immigrant, puts her in a unique position to better assist the clients she serves.  In addition, Attorney Francis is a Certified General Civil Mediator in the state of Georgia and is also a Notary Public.  In her leisure time, she enjoys playing tennis and hanging with her granddaughters.

Attorney Francis is admitted to the GA Supreme Court, the GA Court of Appeals and the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  Attorney Francis is an active member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL), Dekalb Lawyer's Association (DLA) and Gate City Bar Association.

As our motto says: Let Attorney Francis "Navigate those legal waters for you".
